Thoughts about politics, economics, societal trends in our lives and anything else that tickles my fancy. In the Spring and Summer the Sacramento Rivercats become part of this rant.

Now that was funny
Ellen Degeneris did a parody of the iPhone which was very funny. Apple evidently grumped. Come on Apple, this was a funny bit.
Note - Two answers to the question "how can you tell if a person has an iPhone?" a) They tell you. b) There is an ap for that.
C'mon Mr.Macintosh, don't be so sensitive. It's only a joke, you guys should have confidence in your product considering everyone's trying to copy everything you guys release. I think the whole sparring match between them Adobe and Google has them on pins and needles.
As noted above, I thought Ellen was very funny. That is her type of humor. I was trying to say, Apple should lighten up. In the end both the original bit and her equally funny expression of contrition showed well on Apple. I think they should have recognized it. One of the fun things about Apple's own ad campaigns has been their winsome nature. They should have recognized the humor.

I spent 40 years working at the intersection of higher education and public policy. I earned a doctorate from USC focused on tax policy and finance. Since 2011 I have had a consulting practice called Buffalo Consulting and have split my time between California and San Miguel de Allende.
